Costumed, beginner-friendly dance ball. Pre-ball workshop on October 24th included.
This is a dance you join, even if you have never tried one before. The workshop gives you a chance to learn the moves and meet other guests. At the Ball, you can step onto the floor knowing the dances.
The gothic setting brings the fantasy to life: candlelight, roses, velvet, lace, and music. The shared dancing is what makes the night yours.
Start with a guided afternoon of social dancing. We’ll teach the steps and show you how the dances work on the floor, so you know what to do when the music starts at the Ball.
Come without a partner or previous experience. You’ll practice with other guests and meet people before the big night.
Rehearsal location: Quadra Village Community Centre.
See the dances we’ll learnOn October 30, dress in your vampire finest and step into the Ball. Dance the steps you learned at the workshop, join other guests on the floor, and enjoy an evening of music, candlelight, and red velvet.

I loved that everyone learned together before the ball. It made the event feel less intimidating and much easier to meet people naturally. I made new friends, and honestly, we learned so much during the five rehearsals. It felt almost like a full semester of dance school, very impressive!

Costumes are required. The goal is gothic, elegant, dramatic, and intentional. Historical accuracy is welcome, but not necessary.
