The Experience

A vampire ball you actually take part in.

Blood Moon Ball is built around participation, not standing at the edge of the room. Before Halloween night, you learn the dances in a guided workshop, meet other guests, and arrive ready to step in.

Then the room turns darker: candlelight, roses, velvet, lace, music, and a floor full of people who no longer feel like strangers.

The workshop is where the evening begins. You learn the steps, rhythm, floor patterns, and social etiquette before the Ball, so Halloween night feels intentional instead of awkward.

Expect beginner-friendly social dances. No partner or previous experience needed.

For two guests dancing together as one Leader and one Follower.

When you attend Blood Moon Ball, you’re stepping into a full vampire ball experience:

Dress Code

What to Wear

Costumes are required. The goal is gothic, elegant, dramatic, and intentional. Historical accuracy is welcome, but not necessary.

  • Vampire court attire
  • Victorian mourning or gothic romance
  • Dark gowns, corsets, capes, gloves, or dramatic coats
  • Tailcoats, waistcoats, dress shirts, or dark suits with gothic details
  • Velvet, lace, satin, pearls, brooches, and old-world jewelry
  • Dark academia or aristocratic styling

Please avoid: low-effort party costumes, novelty costumes, inflatable costumes, and casual streetwear.

Do I need dance experience?
No. The event is designed to be beginner-friendly. The workshop teaches the dances before the Ball, and the evening itself is structured to help guests participate with confidence.
Do I need to attend the workshop?
Yes, preferably. The dance workshop helps you learn the dances, meet people before the Ball, and feel more confident during the evening. If you cannot attend, we’ll share videos for home practice.
Where is the venue?
The venue is still being finalized and will be announced before tickets go live.
When do tickets go live?
Join the waitlist to be notified when sales open.
Is this a Halloween party?
It is a Halloween event, but not a standard party. It is a structured historic dance ball with instruction, social dancing, a dress code, atmosphere, and an immersive gothic theme.
Can I come alone?
Yes. Leader and Follower are dance roles, not gender rules. Solo guests can buy the role they want to dance, rotate partners during many dances, and meet people throughout the workshop and Ball.
Is this historically accurate?
We use actual historic dances and adapt them for a modern social event. It is still a themed gothic Halloween Ball, not a strict reenactment.
